Sensorberg Secures Seven-Figure Growth Investment and Appoints Ian Payne as Chief Commercial Officer

Berlin, 8th January 2026 - Sensorberg, a leading provider of smart access solutions for the self-storage industry, has appointed Ian Payne as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) as part of its next phase of international growth. The announcement comes alongside a secured seven-figure funding in 2025 to support further product development, market expansion, and team growth.

Sensorberg Management is pleased to announce the completion of a seven-digit growth financing in 2025, providing a strong financial foundation to sustainably support the company’s growth over the coming years.

“We are thankful for the trust and support that enables us to scale our smart access solution and support operators across Europe in making their facilities more secure, more efficient to operate, and easier to manage,” said Daniel Gillard, Co-Managing Director and CPTO of Sensorberg.

Furthermore the Management is delighted that Ian Payne joins the company as a new member of the executive team, bringing extensive experience of over 16 years in the market and being with Janus International Europe, one of the leading providers of self-storage solutions. At Janus, Ian was responsible for strategic customer acquisition and commercial development across Northern Europe. At Sensorberg, he will oversee the company’s commercial strategy, focusing on strengthening customer relations and partnerships.

“I’m excited to join Sensorberg because the company combines innovative technology with a deep understanding of what self-storage operators really need. I look forward to contributing to the company’s journey by strengthening commercial activities and supporting operators in delivering more secure and efficient solutions,” said Ian Payne, Chief Commercial Officer.

Ian’s appointment comes as the company continues to develop its products and expand its presence in Europe, ensuring that self-storage operators have the access control security and operational efficiency they need to manage their facilities in today’s market.

“We are delighted to have Ian join the team, bringing a strong background in the self-storage industry that will be instrumental in driving this next phase. We are equally excited about the new funding, which allows us to further invest in our products and team, expand our presence in key markets, and accelerate our international growth,” added Tony Manthey, Co-Managing Director and CFO of Sensorberg.

With Ian Payne leading the company’s commercial strategy and the support of the new investment, Sensorberg is well-positioned to expand as a trusted technology partner for self-storage operators worldwide, supporting the industry’s ongoing digitalisation and growth.

We are advancing with increased momentum towards our vision: to redefine the standards in self-storage digital access and security and emerge as the European market leader. Our promise is to empower operators, elevate security and efficiency, and deliver truly transformative solutions across the industry.
