Europe’s leading Beacon-Software-Provider Sensorberg pulls in a seven-digit sum from international investors – Garvest, XAnge, WestTech Ventures and existing shareholders headed by Berlin Technologie Holding (BTH) – at the start of 2016.
Sensorberg starts what is sure to be a successful year by closing a new investment round in the seven-digits. This fresh influx of capital will help Sensorberg to expand internationally over the next months, doubling the size of its team and accelerating the development of its solution.
Sensorberg supports companies in digitalizing their business models and in automating industrial as well as non-industrial workflows and capturing the huge potential which proximity technology presents.
Sensorberg, the market leader in beacon-based-software was founded in 2013 by Alexander Oelling. Sensorberg develops and distributes a complete beacon solution in the form of the Global Beacon Registry and a Campaign Management Platform as base for any Global Beacon Network.
The basic requirements for every successful beacon-based campaign – whether for advertising, service, or data analytics – are a beacon-enabled app, a beacon and as the case may be, content. A Global Network is a collective partner network of brands, advertising agencies, location owners and service providers, enabling beacon infrastructure capacities to be shared are monetized. Sensorberg is a software provider, which supplies an infrastructure software for such beacon networks. Thereby allowing users to create their own proprietary network through app, beacon and content sharing in a secure and stable way in order to be marketed in a profitable way.
Currently, Sensorberg is active in five counties with more than 710 projects underway, many in pilot phases, has more than 62,000 beacons under management and has a total reachable user-base of approximately 12 million app users. A strong upward trend continues.
CEO Alexander Oelling laid the first international milestone in January with the opening of a Sensorberg Poland office. The polish-based team of 10 is motivated and already exhibiting success. “As the market leader and pioneer in beacon software, Sensorberg is ideally positioned to play a decisive role in the software development necessary for the Internet of Things and the digital era. We are proud to be part of Sensorberg and are excited about helping to lead the global expansion into Eastern Europe” – Krzysztof Łuczak, Sensorberg Country Head Poland.
“The next few months will be very exciting” – Alexander Oelling, CEO and founder of Sensorberg. “I am extremely proud of the effort and work of my international teams. After winning a number of large client contracts at the end of last year we have had no choice but to rapidly expand. “I am pleased to be part of Sensorberg’s success story“- Bernhard Schmid, partner of the French-German Venture Capital fund XAnge. “As a hardware-independent software provider for global beacon networks, Sensorberg opens up an exciting new market.” Joern-Carlos Kuntze, Managing Partner of BTH, amends: “Being Sensorberg’s major supporter from the beginning on, we strongly believe in the huge potential of Sensorberg and have accompanied and supported Alex and his team as an active investor throughout all stages not only with capital but also with significant management support.
