SENSORBERG EQUIPS NEXT14 WITH IBEACON AND ANSWERS QUESTIONS IN A WORKSHOP

Flawless technical success and surge of users for the iBeacon project implemented by Sensorberg on the occasion of the workshop at NEXT14

Berlin. The NEXT conference in Berlin has become the most important event in Europe in recent years for all themes concerning digital business. About 1.800 executives and entrepreneurs come here to search inspiration on those issues, attending conferences and workshops about technology and marketing trends animated by “internationally recognized forward thinkers and leaders”. The digital agency SinnerSchrader organized for the 9th time the conference in the Berlin Congress Center on Alexander Platz, this year for the first time in cooperation with the dfv Mediengruppe.

According to the motto “Knowing what your customers want before they do. This is the new normal” the organizers provided the participants with the NEXT NOW app, especially developed for this occasion, which functions had been extended with Sensorberg’s technology. The NEXT NOW app was brought into being through cooperation between the exclusive developer Heiko Behrens, the iBeacon competence leader Sensorberg and the design studio precious, which was also responsible for the design and art direction of the NEXT14

The integration of the iBeacon technology in the NEXT NOW app gave the exhibitors the possibility to address visitors and participants with personalized and location-relevant notices and propose them helpful services. They were even welcomed upon arrival at the Hauptbahnhof and lead to the conference. At the entrance of the conference center, all the visitors were welcomed and informed about workshops and lectures via notifications, thus integrated right from the start in the course of the congress. During pauses, their attention was called upon all the following events.

The extension of the event app through Sensorberg’s new iBeacon technology was not only a great success on the occasion of the presentation by Alexander Oelling in his overcrowded workshop, but also popular among guests and exhibitors, as reveal the official numbers. Amid around 1.500 registered NEXT14 participants, 1.025 smartphone owners had downloaded the app, among which 87% for iOS. Altogether, the NEXT14 registered more than 25.000 logs within 2 days.

Sensorberg thanks the organizers of the NEXT14, the design studio precious and above all Heiko Behrens for this exceedingly successful cooperation.
