Port Łódź is the first shopping center in Poland to commercial offer the possibility to use Beacon Technology to its tenants. The Beacon devices installing in Port Łódź together with Sensorberg’s Beacon infrastructure software enable direct interaction with potential clients.
Beacons allow tenants to communicate with their customers and to better understand their shopping habits, behavior or even to track the frequency of their visits. An important feature for tenants is the ability to use retargeting. Retargeting as a advertising technique allows brands to inform their customers about current offers, promotions and the available assortment. There is also no need for stores and brands to have their own mobile apps – Sensorberg provides communication possibilities with partner apps reach a total of over 1.5 million monthly active users.
“Beacon technology is considered the future of marketing, as it enables direct interaction with the customer at the right time and at the right place. It allows marketing campaigns to be adjusted and target individual customer preferences. Finally, we achieved the possibility to provide this solution to our tenants” – says Emilia Lange-Cichocka, marketing director of Port Łódź.
Beacons are small Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transmitters, which communicate with the customer’s smartphone and trigger interactions on the customer’s Beacon-enabled apps. Thus, it allows customers to receive the information about offers, promotions, events, discount coupons or even navigation tips. Port Łódź has installed several dozen beacon devices throughout the entire shopping center.
