TOOLS 2014 relies on the iBeacon Technology – Mobile Event Guide and the iBeacon full service provider Sensorberg agree on a strategic partnership and promote Beacons at the tools 2014

Berlin. After its success at this year’s edition of the CeBIT and Messe Hannover as well as after winning the 2014 ALSO Start-up Awards, the leader in iBeacon technology Sensorberg and the expert for fairs and events apps Mobile Event Guide enter a long-term strategic partnership. The first milestone of this cooperation is the equipment of the expo and conference tools 2014 in the area of the Deutsche Messe in Berlin. “For the moment everything goes amazingly well”, states Alexander Oelling, founder and CEO of Sensorberg, who was rushing from a presentation to another as iBeacon expert at the Berlin Web Week at the beginning of the week.

The cooperation of both firms is a step towards the establishment of innovative mobile communication tools and services. New projects and solutions in the field of events are being developed on this basis, and unprecedented use cases for conferences, fairs, festivals and further events are emerging. The huge potential of the iBeacon technology makes it possible to replace event programs and catalogs printed on paper by digital services, and provides furthermore substantial and optimal networking capabilities and lead generation in real time.

“Who does not know that? After three days spent at a conference or fair, not only does one’s voice sounds hoarse, but the mailbox is brimming too. Then one goes back to the office with a collection of business cards and is busy for many days with the subsequent contact management work that comes along with it. The use of the iBeacon technology to set up proximity Touch-Point for mobile contact management will make it possible in the future to completely digitalize this task. We are happy to see that Mobile Event Guide chose our Beacon Management Platform to deal with this issue”, says Dr. Robert Peschke, founder and CEO of Sensorberg, who looks ahead in the future with high expectations.

“The integration of the iBeacon technology in our apps will enable us to revolutionize the communication at fairs and during conferences. For the first time, the exhibitors can address their target groups directly with personalized news adapted to the location. Thus they can draw more visitors to their stand by approaching them interactively in the context of the event. “Our firm was founded in 2009 in Berlin and has provided apps for more than 200 events since. The partnership with Sensorberg and its iBeacon technology will offer our clients and us an increased efficiency, an increase in visitors overall satisfaction and higher revenues. We are very pleased to have worked on our first common project on the occasion of the tools 2014”, says Dr. Axel Flasbarth, CEO & Manager at Mobile Event Guide GmbH.

How do the use cases of the iBeacon technology presented at the tools 2014 look like in detail?

The expo and conference tools 2014 takes place for the first time at the Berlin ExpoCenter City in the context of the Berlin Web Week from May the 7th to May the 8th, and presents web-based business solutions. With this year’s motto “Build your digital business”, the event puts serious consideration on practical, business and field-oriented digital solutions. As they enter the building, the event attendees are personally welcomed, and thus integrated in the course of the fair. Their attention is drawn on important events, and they may receive notifications from the exponents. The possibilities are diverse, ranging from product presentations, invitations and coffee-coupons to welcoming notifications and proposals for catering sponsors, to raise the attention dedicated to the offers. Mobile Event Guide and Sensorberg do not only offer a better visitor experience through their cooperation, they create new marketing models for event providers, organizers and exhibitors through the use of the iBeacon technology.
